I just finished reading “The Ten Year Nap” by Meg Wolitzer. This is a must read for mothers who once worked but chose to stay home after the children were born and what happens in the ensuing 10 years of motherhood. Very thought provoking, urbane and witty. The story follows 4 women who, for different reasons, choose to leave their successful jobs to stay home and be mothers. It explores their lives as mothers and their lives as intelligent women dealing with life in modern times when people are defined by “what they do”. One of the best books I have read in awhile!

“Who Killed Change? : solving the mystery of leading people through change” by Ken Blanchard.

Parable type quick read. Personifies positions/departments within an organization in order to show why real change rarely has staying power. If you liked the format of “Who Moved My Cheese?” , you would probably enjoy this book.
